Mountain Shadows Baptist Church Serves the Lord in Peru

Pastor Jim Mitchell and 6 members of Mountain Shadows Baptist in Pueblo West, Colorado came to Peru to serve our wonderful Lord. They served 5 days in the south and 3 days here in Lima.
Left to Right: Cody, Liz, Jamin, Dave, Me, Megan, John and Pastor Jim.

They worked at the radio station helping with the updating of our tower.
Here they are digging to extend radial cables.

They also sanded and painted to protect containers from the ocean breeze.
Liz scrapping off the rust and preping for paint.

They worked hard and did so with a cheerful spirit making friends as they went along.
Wilfredo and Dave became good friends and just enjoyed serving Christ.

They also ministered spiritually. Pastor Mitchell taught and preached several times.
Pastor Jim preaching in the Spanish church in Lima.

Megan helps a little girl in Sunday School.

Liz helps children on the other side of the classroom.

Groups are such a help in the work and an encouragement to us personally. We love having visitors! Their support on the field has a powerful effect on the missionary!

In all these pictures, Ruth never appears. That is because she took them! My Sweetheart worked hard in the kitchen, out at the plant and doing a lot behind the scenes. On the next to the last day, I wanted to thank her in a special way and get someone in the group to take a picture of us.
I thank the Lord for my lovely wife who does so much that no one ever sees.

If you would like to bring a group to Peru, come on down. It will be a life changing experience.
