Honoring Those Who Follow Christ

It tooks us a while, but we finally got around to getting our baptismal certificates made.
Mother and two daughters (Left to right: Marisol, Estrella, Caroline)

Each person received their own personalized certificate.

If you notice carefully, each certificate has a beautiful, golden seal.  We bought a notary embosser and put our church's name on it along with the words "Lima" and  "in obedience to Christ".  They are well designed and very attractive.  We want to do all we can to encourage people to follow Christ.  It is an example worth holding up for others.

This is Mercedes.  We are praying for her husband to come to Christ.  He never came to her baptism and is opposed to the gospel.  This makes it hard for a wife following Christ.  It is our prayer that one day her huband, Moses will be receiving one of these certificates because of his faith in Christ!  And Mercedes will be rejoicing by his side!

Five More Follow Christ in Baptism

Five more new converts followed Christ in baptism.
This was the second baptism we had in the same month.

José is very interested in reaching his family for Christ.  We are praying for his wife to come to Christ.

Marisol and her two oldest daughters (Estrella and Caroline) were baptised.  All three were saved on the same night.  Little Bethlehem is in Marisol's arms.  She is the youngest daughter.  The gentleman in the picture is Marisol's father.  Her husband was already saved.  Althought he is not in this picture, he was there that night and was rejoicing.

This is Emeteria with her sister and nephew.  We are praying for both of them to be saved.

Marisol, just moments before being baptised.

Caroline is the oldest daughter.  She had a hard time understanding that salvation is only by grace.  But she got it and she also got grace!

Estrella is such a sweet little girl.  With Jesus, she will be a sweet instrument in the Lord's hands.

Marisol watches as her second daughter follows Christ in baptism.

Baptism

It was an exciting day when we baptisted four of our new converts.
They were more excited than we were. And that is exciting when we are joyful and happy in following Christ.  It is our prayer that they continue in their walk of faith and obedience.

María Paz es a teenage who has given her heart to the Lord.  She faces a lot of challenges.  María Paz is the only one saved in her family.  We are praying for her parents and older brother.

Ruth shows her joy as she holds her little girl.  Ruth was a single mother when she received the gospel.

From left to right are: Maruja (Ruth's mother), Elena (Ruth's daughter), Mariio and Irma (father and sister).  We are praying for the salvation of Mario and Irma.  Each new convert has many family members who are not saved.  Ruth's mother is a believer.

Abraham is on the left and his sister is on the right.  Both are medical doctors.  Abraham just got his degree and is now doing his one year of required medical service in a rural section of Peru.  Martha (center) is their mother.  Her husband was one of our most faithful men.  He went to be with the Lord a few months ago.  This is one family that is seeking the Lord with all their heart.
