Many donate items to the radio ministry. These items are placed on display for others to purchase. Both the one who brngs an item and the one who purchases it contribute to the radio ministry to keep the Word of God on the air 24/7. The event runs sort of like a share-a-thon that runs for two days. One difference is that we actually have a location where we go and meet the people.
We have two pastors who come to the studio to help us with the live broadcast. We take live calls from listeners all day. Pastor Látimer is in the forefront of this picture.
Many arrived early and lined up to come in. These are the first to arrive.
We have many nice items that our listeners donate. This is the shoe section.
People from different churches donate their time to come to help wait on our listeners.
Most of the helpers are from our church. This is a great opportunity for them to serve Christ.
Pastor Edward is Stan's associate. We began the radio ministry together.
Pastor Edward runs many things at once: emails, cell phone, land line phone, Face book and the coordination of the computer programing all while on the air. Only someone like him could do this!
Pastor Edward greets a listener.
Our two secretaries and assistant radio programmer.
Before we could even get started, the local mayor tried to close us down because of complaints from neighbors. As it turned out, it had nothing to do with us. It was a dispute between the mayor and the neighbors with our event being the battleground. God worked it all out for His glory.
At the very beginning we huddled together to pray and give the event to the Lord. In the far background are listeners who came early before we were ready. After we prayed, they sang "Happy Birthday" to the Radio Ministry for completing 5 years of existence.
Stan signed a lot of devotional books.
Ruth with Judith. Our servants come in all sizes.
One of our younger listeners interested in the stuffed toys.
A lady in her wheel chair made the sacrifice to visit us.
Our workers have fun serving.
The smiles say it all.
We rented a soccer court for the event.
Meeting our listeners is one of the biggest blessings of the radio ministry.
