Increasing our energy potential is just one of the steps in raising our transmission power to cover all the city of Lima. In order to do this, we have purchased what is called a substation. A substation is basically a high powered transformer that will supply us with a greater volume of electrical energy and maintain it at a steady flow. This is very important for sensitive equipment.
This is the beginning of the construction of our substation which sits inside our property.
At the present, we are waiting on the arrival of the big transformer. It will be mounted on the pole and rest on the platform shown in the above picture.
We also lack the fuse box that goes at the base of the pole. We have been working hard on this since August of last year. Things move very slow here. If all goes well, the substation should be finished and supplying us with an increased and constant flow of electricity on March 13. The key phrase is "if all goes well".
